How Your Donations Help Romp and Roll was started in 2003 to raise funds to help local residents diagnosed with cancer. Recognizing that recovery from cancer extends beyond physical healing and often involved the entire family, healthcare professionals from the Community Healthcare System came together to create the Cancer Resource Centre. Their efforts created a place where area residents can access at no charge support groups, mind-body programs and educational resources to begin the emotional recovery from cancer. The Cancer Resource Centre does not charge for its services and relies on donations from individuals, corporations and civic organizations.
